purpose

Currently in Australia only businesses that have onsite fitness services for employees are entitled to get Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) exemptions for fitness services. As the national health and fitness industry association, Fitness Australia approached Messy Design to help them lobby for change, so businesses of all sizes can improve the health and productivity of their workers.

idea

Our approach was an integrated campaign that aimed to rally the support of business owners, government and the fitness industry. The campaign was simple and intuitive, to encourage maximum engagement with the messaging, which called for an extension of FBT exemptions for fitness services to all Australian businesses.

getting our tax system into shape

A simple #fitnotfbt call to action was created, with an engaging brand identity that focused on real people, testimonials and infographics. Our creative approach helped Fitness Australia communicate a complex message in a simple way, with print collateral, social media assets and a simple website landing page that allowed people to send messages of support to their local member of federal parliament.
