purpose

The Australian Centre for Photography is one of Australia’s leading arts organisations, devoted to the practice and appreciation of photography. They offer a range of exhibitions, events and masterclasses for people of all ages who are looking to hone their photographic skills and creativity. They required an overhaul of communications to better engage their audience and build on the range of events they hold.

idea

Our team pushed the boundaries of print design, by creating brochures with a unique unfolding design using nothing more than a single sheet of paper. The concept challenged the status quo of exhibition collateral and allowed the Australian Centre for Photography to inform their customers about upcoming events in a creative, intriguing way.

an experience of discovery

The brochures encouraged active participation through an experience of discovery, as unfolding each flap revealed a new piece of information. Outdoor street banners promoting ACP exhibitions were also displayed throughout the City of Sydney. The ground-breaking project was also shortlisted in the print commercial category of Desktop Magazine’s Create Awards.
