They say a lot can happen in a year and 2019 well and truly delivered just that for the Messy team. This year saw us collaborating with fantastic clients, welcoming talented new team members, and producing a ton of inspired and innovative work across web, social, digital, print and more! Oh, and did we mention the big changes?

Hello Messy Collective!
This year we said a fond farewell to ‘Messy Design’ – a name that’s served us well for 14 years – as we celebrated the start of a new chapter as ‘Messy Collective’. Why the change? For quite a few years now, we’ve been about so much more than ‘Design’ alone and we’re thrilled to now have a name that better reflects the full-service creative agency that we are!
More experts, more diversity, more excellence
A business is only as strong as its people and this year we welcomed five more multiskilled experts to the team to further strengthen our full-service creative agency offering. We now have even more expertise on tap for strategy, art direction, digital marketing, web development, and project management. The result – a powerhouse team that delivers exceptional results.
Winners are grinners
Innovation across many industries
We love working with innovative clients from all different sectors and this year was no different! We provided expert technical, strategic, marketing and creative support to clients across 13 different industries, including Health (MyHealth1st, Australian Chiropractors Association, Mun), Technology (Automic Group), FMCG (Mars, Greens), and Government (LegalAid NSW, Transport NSW).
Big year, big projects
It’s been a busy year of big work, and we’re proud to say we’ve had a heap of it feature nationally across TV, social, display, radio and more! We’ve worked on a variety of project types including brand architecture, brand strategy, WordPress development, brand rejuvenation, frontend design systems, integrated marketing campaigns, video production, social media, corporate communications, marketing collateral, and more.

So much room for creativity
One of the first things we ticked off our to-do list this year was moving into our new office at Level 5/17 Alberta St, Sydney NSW. We’re well and truly settled in and are loving having more space to discuss, plan, design, debate and create (oh, and devour cupcakes, drink coffee, eat too many Tamari almonds, and down a few Friday beverages on the balcony…).
Getting (not too) messy
As you can see, it’s been a jam-packed year full of hard work and innovation. But all work and no play makes for a dull squad – so we’re never letting that happen! Here’s a sneak peek at a bit of the fun from 2019.
It’s been an amazing 2019 for us and we can’t wait for what’s coming in 2020. On that note, we’re taking a small (but needed) break and will be closed from 23 December 2019 ’til 3 January 2020.
So enjoy the holidays and we’ll see you on January 6! If you have any exciting projects coming up in the new year, get in touch and we’ll be happy to help.
